A July Fourth date means it’s time to ignite some sparks, light your fire and see fireworks.
But seriously, puns aside, there are tons of fun date options for celebrating America’s independence.
1. Picnic
Pack a picnic and enjoy the weather – an evening picnic would be even better, because the temperature will be a little cooler, and you can find a place to catch some fireworks while you eat. Or bring some fireworks of your own and make your own show!
2. Water Park
What better way to spend a summer day, than getting wet and having fun at a water park! Stay all day, and most water and amusement parks put on fireworks shows in the evening. The perfect way to end a July Fourth date.
3. Carnival
Are there any carnivals or fairs in your area? They are a one stop shop for fun, food and entertainment. Play some games and win a prize for your date to remember the day forever.
4. Parade
Some towns have Fourth of July parades. Grab some lunch or some ice cream, and enjoy watching the parade, or even better, people-watching at the parade.
5. Cookout
It is cookout season, so it’s likely one or more people you know are having a cookout this weekend. Take your date to meet your friends, or have a cookout of your own and impress with your grilling skills.
6. Outdoor Concert
Check your local area for live music and outdoor concerts this weekend. Outdoor live music is often free, and lawn seats at a concert are usually cheap. Pack a couple of outdoor chairs and a cooler, and you’re on your way to a memorable date.
7. Fireworks
The most simple and obvious idea for a July Fourth date? Fireworks, of course! Find out who is putting on a fireworks display in your area. Don’t be afraid to get creative – maybe there is a unique spot you could watch from, like a rooftop or sitting in your truck bed with a bottle of champagne.
Wherever your July Fourth date takes you, we hope you let the sparks fly.
